Monluc Vin Sauvage Sparkling White Wine
Monluc Vin Sauvage is produced in the traditional “méthode champenoise,” where fermentation takes place in the bottle. A blend of Ugni-Blanc and Gros Manseng grapes is enhanced by the “liqueur de tirage,” yielding a sparkling wine with citrus notes and a slightly bitter finish. Often paired with Monluc Pousse Rapière for a signature cocktail.
Vin Sauvage is combined with Pousse Rapière to create the Pousse Rapière cocktail. The incredible success of this aperitif comes from the fact the two parts are made from the beginning, in order to achieve a balanced combination. The wine and liqueur are made for one another, from the same terroir, the same vineyard, creating a harmonious and natural marriage. The Château of Monluc is an exceptional site located on the dominant part of Saint-Puy. It was built on the remains of a 13th century castle. It was the paternal house of Marshal Blaise de Monluc. This castle has endured time and invasions whether at the heart of the reign of the Merovingians and Carolingians, or during the campaign of the King of England. Monluc Armagnacs and liqueurs are created according to Gascon country family tradition.
